FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Who do you serve? - We serve Veterans and their surviving spouses in Grand Rapids and West Michigan.  As a general rule, we serve anywhere within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.  Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

2. Does the Veteran have to own their home to receive your repair and improvement services? - Yes. Although Valor Homefront would love to help every single Veteran in need, our resources are not unlimited.  Additionally, it is the responsibility of the landlord to provide a home for the Veteran that is safe, accessible, and not in need of repairs.

3. Are all applications for repairs and improvements approved? - No. Every application is reviewed by our team for accuracy, Veteran eligibility, scope of work requested, the available funding/capacities that Valor Homefront has to complete the requested work, and many other factors.  We try to approve as many applications as possible to help our local Veterans, and we hope to grow our capacity over time.

4. How much of your donations are used to help Veterans in need? - 100% of all donations made to Valor Homefront go to our functions and programs that support the Veterans of our community.

5. How can I become a Volunteer with Valor Homefront? - We are always seeking volunteers.  Whether you can provide simply a set of helping hands, or you have a skillset in a construction trade, we can use your help.  To apply to volunteer with us, click HERE and fill out our Valor Homefront Volunteer Application Form, then click submit.  A member of our team will be in touch with you.
